The day to day management and administration of the Village Hall is carried out by the Ecclesmachan & Threemiletown
Village Hall Management Association which is an elected body representing all members. Full membership of the
organisation is open to all persons who, having reached the age of 18 years having a place of work or resident in the
area of the organisation (defined by the West Lothian Council as the Community Council Ward). You can read the full constitution

If we hire the hall can we bring an entertainer? |
Yes you can and we can help plan the layout to suit. |
Can we erect a bouncy castle? |
No, not inside the hall, but we do have a small play area outside that could be used,
please ask for further details. |
Do you have a liquor licence? |
No, but you can advise guests that they can bring their own refreshments. If you do
need a liquor licence for an event we can advise on the process. |
Do you have a supply of glasses for serving drinks? |
Due to the risk of glass breakages we recommend hirers bring their own supply of disposable or
recyclable plastic glasses. |
Do you have an in-house catering service? |
No, however although we cannot make any particular recommendations, we can provide a list of local
companies who can provide this service. |
Can we prepare meals in your kitchen? |
We can only allow the use of the kitchen for reheating food or keeping food warm. |
Can I move the furniture around to suit my event? |
Yes, you can move everything around to suit your needs, however we do ask that you put everything back
in place after your event and please DO NOT drag tables and chairs across the floor - lift them. |
How many car parking spaces are available? |
Car parking is limited, however arrangements have been made with Oatridge College who have kindly
offered the use of their car parking facilities for Village Hall events. |
Can I book the Hall at short notice? |
Provided that no other event is taking place, then yes you can. |
What do I do with any rubbish created at my event? |
It's up to the hall hirers [you] to dispose of any rubbish left. Any rubbish left after
the hiring of the hall may incur charges for the disposal. There are waste bins provided (grey and blue)
outside the hall that can be used to dispose of waste. However if you produce a large amount of waste
(more than the capacity available) you must dispose of this yourself. |
What if I need to cancel a booking? |
You need to contact us as soon as you are aware that you may have to cancel. Any change of booking details
(including cancellation) must be made prior to the booking date otherwise a charge may be incurred. |
Is there a minimum hire period? |
We have a minumum hire period of 2 hours. |
